Chris Walsh is a professional singer and guitar player who makes the Hudson Valley music scene his home.  A solo performer for thirty-five years, Chris is also well known for raising the roof as part of the “Thunder Ridge” band.  Chris provides his own pre-recorded back-up vocals and rhythm section, so he definitely knows how to play to the dance crowd.  His selections range from The Beatles, James Taylor, and BTO to the early classics of Buddy Holly and The Everly Brothers.  He also manages to sneak in of few of your favorite rock and roll oldies from the 60’s, 70’s, 80’s and 90’s as well as country and folk originals.

Artists in Their Studios Invites You to View Paintings and Sculptures at the Emerson and Visit Their Studio

Oil landscapes, figurative art, clay sculptures…the halls of the Inn at the Emerson have been transformed into a fine arts gallery featuring the original art of Kim Alderman, Jenny Nelson, Christie Scheele and Allan Skriloff of Artists in Their Studios. All four have highly unique and mature bodies of work, and have exhibited widely and been collected nationally and internationally.  Leisurely wander through the Inn corridors and view the wide sampling of fine art on display, then take advantage of a rare opportunity to see and meet the artists in their intimate work space.  Each studio is located within a 20-minute drive of the Emerson.

Josh Tyler is a singer/songwriter, guitarist, and percussionist who grew up local in the Hudson Valley.  He began performing in local clubs and bars at age 16 and has actively been playing venues in the Hudson Valley ever since. Josh’s music is influenced by a mix of rock, folk, blues, soul, country, jazz, and classical.  This wide range of musical interests served him well and in 2006 he graduated from Bard College with a BA in Music.
